How long have you been at DCCH, what is your position, and what transitions have you had here (if any)?

I’ve been working at DCCH for six years. I started out working in the kitchen as a cook, then I moved into the kitchen supervisor role in 2017, and then completely changed it up and moved in a Therapeutic Behavior Specialist Supervisor role in our Residential Treatment Program in spring of 2019. It’s been a challenge, but the reward has been much greater.

What’s something people don’t know about you?

I come from a large Appalachian family and both of my grandfathers were ministers.

Tell us about family – what’s that look like?

My immediate family lives in Northern Kentucky. My awesome sons, William and Thomas, are 24 & 22. They both have big hearts and enjoy helping others.

What do you love the most about working here?

What’s not to love?! I get to hang out with some amazing kiddos and coworkers, and occasionally, I get invited along on recreation outings with them. I get to go to fun places like Red’s games, King’s Island, mini golf and I get paid for it!

What is your biggest challenge in this job?

The biggest challenge working in residential not always being able to immediately fix the broken hearts of the sweet kiddos in our care.
