LATEST NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

The HALO League is a group of dedicated DCCH volunteers who share endlessly of their time, talent, and treasure to give the children in our care special moments like fun outings and birthday and holiday parties. They also spend time with them, doing crafts, watching movies, and eating pizza.
Since COVID, HALO hasn't been able to visit in person...so they went virtual! Zoom calls and online crafting sessions make sure our children feel loved and seen. Check out these sweet notes from children in one of our apartments.
Thank you to the HALO League for always being there for our kiddos! You're making a rough time a little less so.

The DCCH Foster Care and Adoption Program recently celebrated its 150th adoption!
We are thrilled to reach this milestone and for each and every child who found their "Forever Home". The Team works tirelessly to recruit, train, and support those willing to open their hearts and homes to a child in need.
Please check out this wonderful article on page 9 of the November 27th issue of The Messenger for all the details.

Stephanie Renaker-Jansen stopped by yesterday to present DCCH Executive Director Bob Wilson with a $10,000 check on behalf of the George A. and Delores E. Renaker Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation honors Kentuckian Dr. George A. Renaker, who devoted his life to serving the community. The Renaker Family and their Foundation have been great friends and supporters over the years, and we are so grateful for their generosity!
Thank you!

May you have
the gladness of Christmas, which is hope;
the spirit of Christmas, which is peace;
the heart of Christmas, which is love.
