A story about comforting others

You Give Me Comfort

Recently, a child in one of our foster homes was able to return to his birth parents along with his older sister. His foster parents were thrilled to help him transition home and celebrated in his family’s success.

The foster mother shared, “Reunification is always the initial goal in foster care, and I’m so blessed to have been part of it. When I told him he was going home the excitement was tangible and contagious. How could I feel anything but happy for him in that moment. When I took him home I didn’t feel uneasy or stressed; it seemed right. As his parents helped me unpack his luggage we talked with ease about the excitement of the moment and, they thanked me over and over for taking care of him. I wish every foster journey could end like this.”

Congratulations to this family! You, too, could be a part of a success story like this one. Contact us today to learn more how you can #ChangeLives.
