The Database & IT Specialist will report directly to the Vice President of Development & Marketing in all areas of job performance and responsibilities.

 

The Database & IT Specialist will have a minimum of a High School Diploma. Some college education and experience in development is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office programs and database software required. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed for special event participation.

 

The Database & IT Specialist must be proficient in written communication, possess the ability to work with various deadlines, and support multiple projects at the same time. Is detail-oriented, strong planner, organized, and has good administrative skills. Must have experience working in database systems.

This position requires a strong understanding of database management principles and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve their skills.  

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·       Sole responsibility for donor database management.

·       Work in Salsa database for all donation-related work.

·       Responsible for data entry, gift processing, writing/sending acknowledgement letters.

·       Maintain records of all donations.

·       Coordinate with Finance monthly to reconcile database totals with QuickBooks totals.

·       Lead database transition from Salsa to Every Action platform in late spring and summer.

·       Become an expert in Every Action to be able to process incoming gifts, send acknowledgement letters, run queries to pull lists required for mailings and other needs, and be able to analyze data on giving.

·       Provide donor and donation data for the Annual Report.

·       Responsible for checking obituaries daily and sending condolence notes for donors.

·       Manage DCCH and The Therapy Center websites, responding within 24-48 hours with requested changes to the websites.

·       Assist with special events bidding platform to include set up, management of platform, providing reports, and troubleshooting when needed.

·       Responsible for managing IT issues working with Orchestrate Technologies (IT provider).

·       Implement the annual goals for the Development Office along with the Vice President of Development & Marketing.

·       Assume other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Development & Marketing.

  • supporting children in crisis,
  • providing therapeutic solutions to address challenging behaviors, and
