Therapy services may be covered by health insurance plans. Clients are responsible for verifying their behavioral health/mental health benefits with their insurance carrier.

  • The Therapy Center at DCCH accepts most major insurance such as Anthem, Humana, United Behavioral Health, Aetna, HealthSpan, and Cigna.
  • Clients are responsible for making the appropriate payments or co-payments at each appointment and for any deductible required by their insurance plans.
  • Missed/Cancelled Appointments: If a client misses an appointment or provides less than 24-hours notice for cancellation, rescheduling will be at the discretion of the provider. Clients with private pay or commercial insurance will be charged a $70 fee for a missed or cancelled appointment. The fee must be paid prior to rescheduling. Some exceptions may apply.
  • There will be a $25 fee for any returned check.
  • The following fees apply to those clients who opt to pay privately for their services not covered by insurance. Please note that most services other than sessions will not be reimbursed by insurance companies. Therefore you will be responsible at the time of service to pay the following amounts if your insurance does not cover their service.

Masters level therapists provide individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and marital therapy at The Therapy Center.

Cheryl Ross

Cheryl received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Northern Kentucky University in 1987 and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Louisville in 1994. Cheryl is a licensed clinical Social Worker in the State of Kentucky. She has over 20 years experience providing therapy to children and families in various agency settings. These include: the Department for Community Based Services, Family Ties, and DCCH Center for Children and Families. She has completed an internship at NoKey Psychiatric hospital and has trained and supervised numerous therapists.

Kerrie Brittingham

Kerrie received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1997 and her Masters in Social Work from Spaulding University in 2005. Kerrie is a licensed clinical Social Worker in the State of Kentucky and has ten years’ experience providing therapy to children and families. She worked with children in other capacities for an additional five years. She also completed the two year Conjoint Marital and Family Counseling Program and is trained in providing Parent Child Interaction Therapy. Kerrie completed the Juvenile Sex Offender Counselor certification program through the Kent School of Social Work at the Univeristy of Louisville. She is proficient with working with adolescents.

Mary Oldiges

Mary received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Spaulding University in 1983 and her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 1985. Mary holds a post-graduate certificate which she received from Smith College in 2005 for the Clinical Treatment of Children and Adolescents and has completed the Juvenile Sex Offender Counselor certification program through the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Mary is a licensed clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She has worked as a CEO for non-profit agencies in Chicago, Illinois and Miami, Florida while also working as a private therapist for over 25 years. Mary has a wide range of experience working with children and adolescents with extensive experience with adoptees and their families, survivors of trauma and adult women struggling with relationships. Mary is eligible to supervise LCSW and LPCC candidates for their licenses.

Sarah Felice Solomon

Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2002 and her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2006. She has been a licensed clinical Social Worker in the State of Kentucky since 2013. She has over 12 years experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families in settings such as schools, community mental health agencies, residential treatment facilities, and hospitals.

Tabetha Marsh

Tabetha received her undergraduate degree in Human Services/Mental Health from Northern Kentucky University in 2003, and her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati in 2007. Tabetha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Kentucky, and an Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. She is certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has over 12 years experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families in various settings including residential treatment, private practice, and community agencies.

Amy Homer

Amy received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Miami University in 1990, and her MEd in Counseling from Xavier University in 1997. She attended Cincinnati Christian University obtaining licensure in 2012. Amy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Kentucky and in Ohio. She is certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has attended the TBRI Professionals Practitioner training at Texas Christian University. She has over twenty years experience working in education and counseling which include providing therapy to individuals and families in school, community, and agency settings.

RON BERTSCH, Director

    Ron has been working with foster care and adoption services since 1986. Growing up in Southgate, he graduated from Newport Central Catholic High School. Ron received his Bachelors in Social Work and Sociology from Thomas More College and his Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. GENE BLAIR, Trainer

    Gene joined the Foster Care team in July of 2012. He and his wife Shellie have served as foster parents to 28 children over 14 years, adopting three of them. Gene has been training families for foster care and adoption for the past 15 years. He also enjoys training for the Family Nurturing Center’s Father program. SARAH LUSHER, Recruiter & Marketing Coordinator

    Sarah joined DCCH in 2006. After ten years working directly with the children in the residential program and at Guardian Angel School, Sarah has become a part of the TFC/Adoption team, as a recruiter and marketing coordinator.     Jessica joined DCCH in 2005 as a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist at the Residential Facility working with children. In 2013, Jessica joined the Foster Care and Adoption team. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Miami University, and completed her Masters in School Counseling at Xavier University. Additionally, Jessica is on the leadership board for Prosper Avondale, a community-based charitable organization committed to the peace and prosperity of Avondale, an urban neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
