Please read the details of each opportunity, and email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information on how to get started!

  • Grooming: I am comfortable around horses of various temperaments and know how to handle horses safely. I would like to spend time with them brushing, cleaning hooves, bathing, and interacting on the ground.
  • Training: I am an experienced horseman or horsewoman and would like to do ground work with the horses and train them to succeed under saddle. I understand what Natural Horsemanship is, and will utilize these methods in my training.
  • Maintenance: I am new to horses, and I am not prepared to work with them one-on-one. However, I do not mind hard work, and would like to participate as a team member so I can get more accustomed to being around the horses. Or, I am experienced with horses and farm work, and just want to help anyway I can. Putting up hay and helping with fence repairs in a team environment sounds like a great way to spend a day on the weekend.
  • Feeder: I am experienced with horses and have knowledge of their dietary needs. I am willing to feed horses, muck stalls, and perform other duties as assigned by the barn manager.
  • Sidewalkers: I feel comfortable working with clients by walking alongside the horses during class. I can help clients understand the instructor’s directions, achieve balance, gain independence, and reach personal goals.
  • Leaders: I am comfortable controling the horse during class. I can warm up the horse before class, secure the horse during mounting and dismounting, and lead the horse during class.
